Relaxing Venice

This daily tour was designed for tourists who prefer to visit the city at a relaxing pace, and offers a comprehensive overview of Venice. An ideal occasion to learn the essential aspects of history and art, but also to walk around the city, discover picturesque corners, taste the delicious typical Venetian cuisine and visit the lagoon islands.

The visit begins with a walk through St. Mark’s Square, once the governmental center of Venice, to see its most important monuments: the Ducal Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, the Prisons, the Campanile, the Clock Tower and the St. Mark’s Basilica. The tour includes the entrance to the Basilica through the priority door, in order to admire the extensive golden mosaics and the precious Golden Screen (Pala d’Oro).

You will leave then the crowd of tourists behind, to discover a more unconventional areas, walking through the narrow alleys and the Campos of the district called Castello, where there will be, if you want, an opportunity to taste the typical Venetian “cicchetti” (tapas) with a glass of wine (or another drink).

The tour will continue now on board an elegant wooden boat that will take you to the islands of Murano and Burano. In Murano you will have the opportunity to visit one of the island’s best furnaces to see how artistic glass is produced by skilled craftsmen since 1291.

The boat will then take you to Burano, the most picturesque island of the Lagoon, with its typical narrow lanes, the bright colors of the houses and the many lace workshops that made it famous in the world.

To make the most of your visit to this traditional island, you can enjoy lunch at Burano, still today a fishing center, where some of the best restaurants are located.

A last relaxing boat ride, passing near some other lagoon islands, will finally bring you back to Venice
